Mentoring is today and has been for centuries, the foundation of vocational training and Apprenticeships. Mentoring currently takes place in all parts of the Education and Training Sector including: work based/independent training provision, further adult and higher education, offender learning and the voluntary sector.

Our Mentoring Apprenticeship will help you to develop the skills you need to support the development of a learner.

Level 3 – Standard – Learning Mentor

Learning Mentor

The role of a Learning Mentor is to support the development of their learner’s knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout their employment, particularly around the application of theoretical knowledge within practical working environments. The Apprenticeship will cover how to communicate constructively, develop professional behaviours, knowledge and skills and how to offer emotional/technical support and guidance on a on a one-to-one basis, or in small groups.

This qualification is suited to the following roles:

  • Manager • Team Leader • Supervisor • Mentor
