The DFE released a statement where they are putting plans in place to provide access to tests for all students and teachers twice weekly, this plan takes place from the 8th March. At present this does not apply to training providers, the intention is to provide this towards the end of March.
IPS are asking for all members of staff & learners to get a Lateral Flow test twice weekly. Learners visiting will also need to take a test before they arrive at one of our Training centres.
These measures are being put in place to keep everybody safe and to reduce the overall risk of transmission of the virus. The numbers inside IPS premises from the 8th of March will be greatly increased, increasing the risk of transmission.
The introduction of LF tests are for the 8th March, staff currently on site and planning on being at NBH/Dover next week will need to get a test towards the end of this week, for staff that are coming in after the 8th March, please get a test as close to the first day planned in to IPS, preferably the day before. All learners will need to also get a test as close to the day they are attending. Plenty of notice to learners will be given to make sure they have plenty of time to book the tests.
