Our engineering department can offer training to your Apprentice in a range of specialisms. We deliver the majority of our training at our centre in Rochester, which offers our learners excellent facilities and the ability to learn from industry experienced trainers. We have a track record of providing engineering Apprenticeships in a range of specialisms; including:

 

Lean Manufacturing Operative (Level 2 Standard)

Lean Manufacturing Operatives will be expected to carry out their work safely and meet the exact quality standards demanded in a fast paced and efficient processing environment and develop into a multi-skilled operator through process ownership. Lean Manufacturing Operatives can be required to carry out manufacturing activities on multiple products with different specifications consecutively e.g. automotive manufacturing – Multi models manufacturing results in the manufacturing of different models of vehicle with different specification variants within a high volume environment.

We offer training for the following roles:

  • Production/Assembly
  • Inspection/Quality Assurance
  • Electrical and Electronic
  • Production Processing/Finishing

Engineering Technician (Level 3 Standard)

Engineering technicians in the wider advanced manufacturing and Engineering Sector take responsibility of quality and accuracy within the limits of their personal authority. Demonstrate a core set of behaviours in order to be competent in their job role and Complement wider business strategy and development.

We offer training for the following roles:
Mechatronics
Technical Support

Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician (Level 3 Standard)

The Apprentice will maintain the safety, integrity and effective operation of plant and equipment in an organisation. The apprentice technicians will undertake installation, testing, servicing, removal, replacement, maintenance and repair of a range of equipment.

• Electrical
• Mechanical
• Control and Instrumentation
• Electrical System and process control
• Electromechanical
• Plant operations

Metal Fabricator (Level 3 Standard)

This is a multi-discipline Standard and encompasses different roles within the workplace. The broad purpose of the occupation is to carry out metal fabrication work using materials and structures such as; rolled steel joists, columns, channels, steel plate and metal sheet etc.

Rail Engineering

Standard (Level 3)

The Rail Engineering Technician Standard provides technical support to Rail Engineers working on different areas of the railway, which includes infrastructure and trains, track overhead lines, electrification, signalling, telecommunications, traction and rolling stock and rail systems. Apprentices will learn the core knowledge involved but specialise a specific discipline.
