Every year in July, Samaritans raise Awareness of their ‘Talk To Us’ campaign that Samaritans are there to listen to anyone who’s struggling to cope, at any time of the day or night.
So 24th July, check out the Samaritan’s social media platforms to see what they have planned.
In awareness of this, we have put together some tips about opening up to people:
- Find a method of communication that feels right for you. For example, either face-to-face conversation, virtually or write in a letter.
- Find a suitable time and place, somewhere comfortable and quiet so you aren’t disturbed.
- Be honest and open, they are there to help you, make them understand how you feel.
Check out the Samaritans website to see where your local branch is: https://www.samaritans.org/support-us/campaign/talk-us/
Whatever you’re going through, call the Samaritans free any time, from any phone, on 116 123.
